Every Relationship Has Conflict—But Is it Healthy?
If you’re going to be married, you’re going to have conflict. It’s a nice way of saying, you will fight. But can you learn to do it fairly? With respect? Can your conflicts actually build into instead of breaking down your marriage? With prayer and intention, yes. I give several steps that this requires and then we pray for God to show us the way (end empower us to walk in it!).
The steps we discussed were:
1. Cool off.
2. Own your part (this requires humility).
3. Apologize.
4. Ask forgiveness (and give it!)
5. Seek reconciliation and actually makeup.
6. Choose to let this be a closed incident and fight the temptation to bring it up in your next conflict.
